Blake Shelton Anniversary Surprise for Miranda Lambert Revealed, Thougtful Gift Melts the Heart
Blake Shelton is celebrating his third wedding anniversary by surprising wife Miranda Lambert with a romantic gesture this week.
The country music superstars dated for four years before marrying on May 14, 2011. However, just this month alone, Lambert has released a brand new album and performed at the CMT Music Awards. Consequently, the busy couple is just now catching up on celebrating the three-year marriage milestone.
"By the time a week like this is over with her album launch mixed with CMA Fest, she's just going to be a zombie," Shelton said during the Pepsi press conference in Nashville one June 3, according to Us Weekly.
"I know she is," he continued. "So yesterday I had my last day on the set before coming here, and I drove down to Lake Texoma. We've got a boat down there and marina. I'm not a mechanic, but I managed to get this thing running, because I know when she gets back, she's gonna want to do something like that- just go and float around and drink and get pulled on the tube or something. So I thought 'Well, I'll get me some points in the end and get the boat running.' So I did."
The peaceful day on the lake will also serve as downtime for Shelton who embarks on his "Ten Times Crazier Tour" which kicks off June 20. However, Shelton's love for his wife was not just evident in his boating plans. The "Honeybee" singer gushed about his Grammy Award-winning wife, clarifying once more than their marriage is strong despite the frequent rumors surrounding them.
"She means so much," Shelton said of Lambert.
Shelton's sweet gesture for Lambert arrives just weeks after the singer issues a message to fans during an appearance on the "Today" show.
"I would like to take this opportunity to clear the air," Shelton began. "You may pick up a magazine or a tabloid any day of the week that'll say something about, you know, my relationship with Miranda and it's in turmoil and divorce. The truth is I've never felt a stronger bond with, not only with her, but with any other human being in my life. I mean Miranda and I have ... she's my life."
