Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Debut Duet on 'The Voice' With Standing Ovation From Judges, Crowd

On Monday's episode of "The Voice," judges Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani debuted their duet titled "Go Ahead and Break My Heart," receiving not only a round of applause, but also a standing ovation from the audiences and their co-judges.

Earlier in the day, Stefani took to Instagram and posted a sweet photo of her and Shelton in the woods. In the image, the country crooner is seen giving his rockstar girlfriend a kiss on the forehead as they stand beside a tree where the initials of their first names are engraved.

Stefani also posted another picture before the show started where she smiles at the camera as a more serious Shelton gives out a wry and possibly nervous smile.

The couple's duet is one of the tracks that will come with Shelton's upcoming album, "If I'm Honest," where it is expected that his story of love and heartbreak following his split from Miranda Lambert last year will be entailed.

During the duet, Shelton first sang on stage with a guitar as he donned a sharp and classy black-and-white combo. Stefani later graced the stage in a semi-sheer gown with flowers all around.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the pair gazed intently into each other's eyes, giving the studio a romantic atmosphere that the audience obviously felt. When the song came to an end, the viewers, as well as the other judges, were up on their feet.

Before production kicked off for the night, Shelton told the outlet that he dressed up to make an impression on Stefani. "When I originally started writing this song that we're performing tonight, I was only trying to impress Gwen that time around too," he explained.

He also said the single "was just kind of something for she and I to help us feel better about what we were going through." Shelton was referring to his divorce from Lambert and Stefani's split from Gavin Rossdale, whom she shares three sons with.

The two revealed their relationship in November last year through a representative, after many noticed that they have been extra passionate and touchy on the set of "The Voice."
