BlizzCon 2017: Blizzard Announced Virtual Ticket Details
While physical tickets to BlizzCon 2017 are already sold out, as is the case basically every year, that doesn't mean Blizzard fans will have to miss out on everything that is going on down in Anaheim. The publisher has announced that BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will be coming back this year and it's offering more content for the same price.
Now for just $40, fans can have access to every single BlizzCon stage during the event. The streams will include, among others, developer panels, community contests, art demonstrations, question-and-answer sessions, and even the closing ceremony.
Additionally, people who purchase the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will also receive access to the BlizzCon All Access Channel. The channel gives viewers a "guided" tour through the whole convention which includes behind-the-scenes areas like the Darkmoon Faire and Hearthstone Tavern. The channel will also stream in-depth interviews with developers, community personalities, pro players, casters, and more.
Ticket holders will also receive new video content every week for the entire BlizzCon season as well as eSports updates to keep track of their favorite teams and players. Finally, they will also receive in-game content for Blizzard games such as "Overwatch," "Hearthstone," "Heroes of the Storm," "Diablo III," "StarCraft II," and "World of Warcraft." The items for WoW will become available when Virtual Tickets go on sale, with the rest expected to come later.
"BlizzCon is a huge community event for us," says Blizzard head of community development Saralyn Smith. "We almost think of it as the biggest thank you we can give to the best gaming community in the world."
BlizzCon 2017 will be the 11th iteration of the annual event dedicated to Blizzard games and their fans. The event also serves as a venue for major esports events and announcements. The event will be held on November 3 to 4 at Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
