'Bones' Season 11 News, Spoilers: Booth, Brennan Join Old West-style Shooting Contest
After more than a couple of weeks of going off the air, Fox's hit police-procedural drama TV series "Bones" Season 11 returns with back-to-back episodes before the show takes a holiday break. Needless to say, the said two-hour TV affair will be filled with exciting developments, funny moments, as well as shocking plot twists that will certainly amp up the excitement for the show's comeback next year.
According to the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic for the episodes titled "The Cowboy in the Contest" and "The Doom in the Boom," both Brennan and Booth will go undercover for a mission that would require them to don Old West-style clothing while joining an Old West-style shooting competition. However, while the pair usually portray a couple in most of their clandestine works, this time around, they will appear as complete strangers.
Executive producer Michael Peterson revealed to TVGuide that behind their operation, there's a bit of disagreement between the husband and wife. The EP dished out that the whole Old West undercover gig is all Booth's idea. Brennan, in fact, thinks that it's her husband who wants to handle things this way since he's really interested in the rough, old American culture.
"She's like, 'This is a waste of time. You just want to wear a silly cowboy hat and guns.' She doesn't believe that it's actually necessary for the case, so she doesn't join him initially," Peterson went on to say that the forensic anthropologist joins her husband later.
For the showrunner, seeing the two working undercover as total strangers to one another was a breath of fresh air.
"They've been married for so long and to get to see each other in a different dynamic was a fun opportunity we wanted to take," Peterson told TVGuide.
As for the rest of the Jeffersonians, the summary went on to indicate that Angela and Hodgins will be talking about their family's future. Cam, on the other hand, gets close with a photographer.
The team, meanwhile, will be tackling a case involving the death of a police officer.
Don't miss the double-whammy fall finale of "Bones" Season 11 this Thursday, Dec. 10, starting at 10 p.m. on Fox.
