Brad Pitt, Bruno Mars Take Stage in Viral Video
Bruno Mars was joined by a surprise guest while performing a James Brown song in New Orleans over the weekend.
The "Locked Out of Heaven" star performed at Brad Pitt's Make It Right fundraising gala on Saturday, May 17 when the 50-year-old Hollywood superstar himself took the stage beside Mars on the song "Like a Sex Machine." Pitt grabbed a tambourine while Mars belted out the song's lyrics. Shortly thereafter, a two-and-a-half minute video was released online where it has gone viral this week.
The audience members at the Make It Right event at the Sugar Mill included Pitt's fiancée, Angelina Jolie, as well as Sandra Bullock, Chris Rock, Sofia Vergara and many others. The star-studded fundraising event was created to raise money for Pitt's post-Hurricane Katrina neighborhood redevelopment in the Lower 9th Ward, which has recently reached the 100-house mark.
"I love New Orleans … And I'm extremely proud of the Lower 9th Ward community," Pitt reportedly told the boisterous crowd, according to the Daily Mail.
It comes as no surprise that Pitt said he loves New Orleans since he and Jolie own a three-story, 7,400-square-foot home in the historic lower French Quarter of the city. The grey-green, balconied home rests near the riverfront and is complete with a two-car garage, a detached guest house and a rear courtyard, according to Britain's Heat magazine. Pitt and Jolie are also said to have homes in Britain, Hawaii, France and Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Jolie recently opened up about her nine-year relationship with Pitt, with whom she shares six children.
"He's my family. He's not just a lover and partner, which he is, wonderfully, but he's my family now," the 38-year-old actress told Extra. "We have history and work hard to make it great. We don't kind of relax about it and take each other for granted. Like everybody, we have our challenges, but we're fighting to make it great."
