'Castle' Season 8 - Spoilers for Episode 21: Rick Believes He's Cursed; Series Star To Return For Season 9?
ABC's hit police procedural drama TV series "Castle" Season 8 returns this week with a brand new episode which will find the titular character pretty much convinced that he's cursed and that someone is coming after his head. Meanwhile, latest casting news seems to confirm the reprisal of one series star for the next season.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "Hell To Pay," Rick (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) will get shocked to get wind of the news about the death of an axe-wielding, escaped psych ward inmate who was found dead in Castle's P.I. office. The couple's investigation would lead Castle to believe that the murder of the person in question could be the work of an Anti Christ.
A promo video posted on YouTube teases some hilarious scenes taken from the upcoming segment. In the clip, the troubled novelist tells the NYPD captain and the detectives Esposito (Jon Huertas) and Ryan (Seamus Dever) about what took place during his conversation with the fallen victim.
Rick believes that he is being targeted by "dark forces" because he noticed that bad luck is often in his side wherever he goes.
In one scene, Rick can be seen walking with the two officers when suddenly a huge thing fell from a tall building. Rick exclaimed, "see!" as if telling the two men that what he suspects could be true.
In related news, Deadline said that Fillion has already signed the deal what would have him reprise his fan-favorite role in the upcoming ninth season of the ABC TV programming.
It is yet to be revealed as to who the actor will act opposite of in Season 9. For those who missed it, Katic has announced her departure from the show. Tamala Jones, who plays the part of Lanie Parish), will join the leading lady in the exit.
For the meantime, "Castle" Season 8 Episode 21 premieres Monday, May 9 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
