CES 2015: Microsoft Unveils Spartan Browser, Could It Take Over Google Chrome?
CES 2015 has been an event of evolutionary innovations in technology and that could include Microsoft's Spartan browser.
The new browser will dethrone Internet Explorer in all of Windows programs. It is believed to be an enhanced version of IE but with the capacity to bring down rivals like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
Internet Explorer has always been the default browser for every Windows device. Even though Microsoft released a Windows IE 10 version, it did not resonate with the masses that well. The interface could be one problem as it adds another window list even though the user is just adding a new tab.

Meanwhile, this and other Internet Explorer bugs could be eliminated in the new Spartan browser. According to reports, Spartan will reduce the tabs clutter in the browsing page. There will also be options for "always open" tabs, "currently shopping" and "read later." These features could be compared to the bookmarking option in Opera browser.
Cortana, Microsft's voice command, will also be integrated in Spartan. Cortana could be used in getting hotel bookings, flight information, package tracking and other data search. It could serve as a digital assistant to track a particular flight schedules, for example, by simply typing in "American Airlines" on the search bar.
Spartan is expected to be introduced across Windows platforms including PC, tablets and phones.
However, it is not clear if Microsoft will retain IE 10 so that users could opt back to the original Windows browser if they did not like Spartan. A spokesperson from Microsoft told The Verge that they have "nothing to share" about this issue.
