'Chicago Fire' Season 4 Spoilers: Dawson Goes Beyond The Call Of Duty; Will Her Decision Pit Her Against Casey?

NBC's hit drama TV series "Chicago Fire" Season 4 returns this week with an all-new episode that will see Gabriela Dawson going beyond her call of duty as a firefighter. In a process, it affects the relationship she has with Matthew Casey. Will the two be willing to compromise for each other?

A promo video dropped by the network for the episode titled "Kind of Crazy Idea" reveals that Firehouse 51 will once again be called to respond to a fire emergency. It looks like everything is already clear up and the squad is now ready to wrap up the place. However, Dawson finds someone in the burning building that caught her attention – a young kid who seems like he's terrified of what has been going on. She notifies the rest of the respondents downstairs that she found a boy. It remains to be seen how the two were able to get out of the apartment, which is now crumbling from its own weight.

The synopsis from The Futon Critic however hinted that Dawson and the young were able to make it through the ordeal. In fact, she will have a motherly attachment with the rescued kid. A spoiler report from Ecumenical News said that she will continue to look after him even after the incident, especially when she discovers that he is being neglected by his foster parents. This situation will push Dawson to make a "very fateful decision," which would then affect her relationship with Casey. Is the latter against the idea of Dawson taking temporary custody of the poor fire victim?

In another development, the TFC summary said that Lt. Severide will propose a plan that could see the house upgrading their fire equipment. However, his pitch will be met with raised eyebrows. This will force Severide to enlist Casey's help in the matter. The Alderman, in turn, will then go on to pull a few strings.

Find out how these events unfold when "Chicago Fire" Season 4 airs this Tuesday, May 3 at 10 pm ET on NBC.
