According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the season-ender episode titled "Superhero," the house will be called on to respond in a fire emergency that would put the life of one of the members in jeopardy.
The promo trailer released by the network seemed to tease who this person could be. In the clip, Dawson can be heard urging someone to just go down ahead, moments before a huge explosion takes place inside the building. The scenes make it appear like the brave fighter wouldn't make it out alive. However, there are reasons to believe that the show would not write off a fan favorite.
The order of events are yet to be known but the TFC summary also said that Dawson will also be facing some serious domestic issues regarding her plans of adopting Louie, the child she rescued in one of the previous episodes. Good thing she has the entire Firehouse 51 to back her up.
In another development, Jimmy will confront Lt. Boden following the tragic events that happen in "Where the Collapse Started." Boden firmly believes that Jimmy's brother died a hero, but the latter thinks otherwise. He claims that the death is on Boden's hands.
Meanwhile, Stella Kidd will be forced to deal with her unhinged and unpredictable ex, Grant. Casey, on his part, will be out for three days for a summit. He will be joined by his new political advisor Susan Weller.
"Chicago Fire" Season 4 finale airs this Tuesday, May 17 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
