'Chicago P.D.' Season 3 News, Spoilers: Team Tackles A String Of Home Invasion Cases
NBC's hit police-procedural drama TV series "Chicago P.D." Season 3 will reportedly return this week with yet another intense and exciting episode which will see Chicago's finest dealing with a string of violent home invasion cases. Meanwhile, some people in the force are about to get some disappointing news.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode called "Knocked the Family Right Out," members of the Chicago PD will get wind of a report about a well-to-do family who was being robbed. The shocking detail is that the whole family didn't know what happened as they were asleep and what is even more shocking is the discovery that their teenaged daughter was violated during the loot-out.
The synopsis, however, did not indicate if the youngster was aware of the violation being made.
Voight (Jason Beghe) will call on the expertise of Jimmy (Steven R. McQueen) from "Chicago Fire." The latter's analysis confirms the precinct's initial working theory that the family was gassed by a powerful substance, rendering them unconscious throughout the ordeal.
This new development will see Lindsay (Sophia Bush), Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) going undercover to hunt down the criminals. Ruzek, in particular, is the department's strong bet for the job to get done. However, his tendency to act without contemplation might endanger not just the operation but the team members themselves.
TFC, meanwhile, added that Voight will be found trying to help a "former acquaintance get on his feet." Who could this person be, fans are yet to find out.
Platt (Amy Morton) and Mouch (guest star Christian Stolte), on their part, will get some disappointing news concerning their upcoming wedding.
Don't miss the action-packed episode of "Chicago PD" Season 3 airing this Wednesday, Jan. 13, on NBC.
