Christie Fat Jokes Don't 'Bug' New Jersey Governor (VIDEO)
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is making light of jokes that have surfaced about him regarding his weight.
It's not that Christie doesn't know the jokes that circulate about him. He was able to recite two, talk show host David Letterman said on his show. But that hasn't kept the governor from having a "deep and abiding love" for the jokester.
"And this one I thought, I don't know if it's one of your best ones, but I think it's very topical given what went on yesterday," Christie said Monday night on the show, reciting one of Letterman's fat jokes. "A billion dollars will be spent on potato chips for Super Bowl Sunday, and that's just at Gov. Christie's house."

Christie also joked around by pulling a donut out of his suit pocket mid-conversation.
"I didn't know this was going to be this long," he laughed.
The governor explained that he had an appreciation for most jokes and would offer a chuckle to any joke he thought was funny, even if the joke is on him. He said jokes about his weight don't really get to him.
"If it's not funny, I don't laugh," Christie said. "But I've never felt like it was, you know, anything that really bugged me all that much, no."
Christie's office has joked back with Letterman as well, accusing the comedian of making one too many "David Letterman Fat Jokes."
While many found that Christie was gracious to make light of the jokes, they also pointed out the being overweight could raise serious health concerns.
"What is not funny are the heart disease, diabetes, knee joint problems, and other health problems as a result of obesity and the raising of the cost of health care for everyone because of the epidemic of obesity in the US," one user wrote on a Yahoo blog.
