'Containment' Season 1 Episode 3 Spoilers: The Ordeal Inside The Cordon Continues

Things are about to get even worse when as the first season of The CW's hit virus outbreak drama TV series "Containment" continues this week with a brand new episode that will once again see Lex working with Jake to help maintain control inside the cordone. Meanwhile, Jake Riley does something in Dr. Victor Cannerts' behest.

Spoiler alert for those who missed "I to Die, You to Live," the government decided to postpone the 48-hour cordon indefinitely, which sent the entire population inside to rage in anger, fear, and frustrations. To make things even worse for them, large shipping containers were brought down to help further reinforce the fences surrounding the affected area. This gave the people, both inside and outside, the notion that the authorities were not that ready to lift off the barricade. In fact, journalist/blogger has some reasons to believe that there's a conspiracy going on and that the story of bioterrorism is just made up to cover the terrifying truth. He told this to Lex who seemed to be sold with the idea.

The sickness, which keeps on spreading and claiming lives along its way, will push the trapped in the cordon to lose their decorum as they will continue to raid establishments and disrespect the police.

According to the Futon Critic's synopsis for the episode titled "Be Angry at The Sun," Lex will call on Dr. Lommers to send additional reinforcements to help appease civil unrest. When his request is denied, the officer will be forced to once again plead for Jake's help to impose order within.

But it's quite clear in the promo video dropped by the network that the Major himself is worried for what has already been happening. Making it worse is Lommers, giving him the ultimatum that "no one [should get] out."

Also in the clip, Jake is being asked by Dr. Cannerts to do something about the dead bodies of the inflicted. As heard, the physician tells the police to "burn" them. Will Jake do what Cannerts said?

"Containment" Season 1 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
