As detailed further by the media outlet, Nichols' return will take place when "women are found dead inside their own homes throughout Los Angeles." The similarity between the incidents got the Behavioral Analysis Unit thinking that the perpetrator must have gained each of the victim's trust first before committing the crime. Since it's in her jurisdiction, Agent Colfax will be lending her hand to the BAU team.

The brunette star was last seen in Episode 2 of Season 11 when her alter-ego helped the BAU investigate and take down an UnSub who threatened the public with a gas attack.

Outside "Criminal Minds," the 42-year-old plays the role of the Desert Wolf in MTV's hit supernatural drama TV series, "Teen Wolf."

For the meantime, the show is slated to air the Season 11B premiere episode titled "Entropy" this Jan. 13, Wednesday. According to spoiler reports, the team will jump right back into action after their holiday break. Their first order of business will be to create and execute a fail-proof plan to eliminate the infamous network of hitmen, "The Dirty Dozen."

The said episode will also see the appearance of "Parks and Recreation" star, Aubrey Plaza. She'll play the role of a certain Cat Adams who is not quite the character everyone expected.
