'Cuphead' Boss Guide, Tips & Tricks: Defeating the Bosses in Inkwell Isle II

Defeating the boss in "Cuphead" is no easy task, especially when there are some formidable foes to challenge the player.

There are three bosses in Inkwell Isle II alone: Wally Warbles, Beppi the Clown, and Grim Matchstick. And while players can try out different tactics to take them down, there are some tips and tricks to keep in mind when it comes to battling them out.

For Wally Warbles in "Aviary Action," it is essential to take note of his abilities and positions. His three primary attacks in the first phase are the egg spit, unleashing his bird minions, and firing finger missiles. Players should keep dodging his attacks and try to deal as much damage as they can.

For the next two phases, players should keep up the same strategy of avoiding enemy attacks and trying to look for opportunities to strike. In the final stage, players are advised to keep to the upper left side of the screen and use the bomb attack many times to take out the winged boss.

The second boss in Inkwell Isle II is Beppi the Clown. He is situated in a carnival and has some tricks up his sleeve. Players have to avoid the roller coaster coming right at them or else be taken out. As with many boss fights, the main idea is to avoid the obstacles hurled at the players while simultaneously firing their attacks.

The final phase of Beppi the Clown will be in the form of a giant carousel. It is essential to kill the minions Beppi releases and steer clear of the moving roller coaster. A little perseverance will go a long way, so players should keep shooting at Beppi to take him down once and for all.

Finally, the Grim Matchstick is the last boss in Inkwell Isle II. This is the most challenging boss in the game thus far. The key is to get used to the cloud positioning to gain a stronghold in the situation. Once again, dodging the attacks and striking whenever possible is an excellent model to adopt.

For the final phase against Grim Matchstick, players should not shoot the orange balls thrown at them because these will explode. Once they explode, they will be much harder to avoid. To win, players should stick to dealing damage against the head while jumping from one cloud to another to dodge attacks.
