Dallas Cowboys Rumors, News: Team Support For Greg Hardy Starting To Falter
The Dallas Cowboys have been giving its defensive end, Greg Hardy, the support he's needed in the midst of the controversies being thrown at him for the past few months. However, there are indications that the National Football League franchise might already be losing its patience with its star player and might now be ready to let him go.
The sports report from the Latin Post cited The NFL Network correspondent Ian Rapoport taking to his social media to give hints of the current situation between the Cowboys and the 27-year-old player. According to Rapoport in his Twitter post, "The #Cowboys support for DE Greg Hardy is waning…"
The latter was reportedly late to arrive to a couple of "night-before" game meetings, first on last Thursday and then this weekend.

LP added that Hardy was almost tardy for a practice game about two weeks ago. Adding more stain to his record is the fact that he was absent during a pre-game meeting held before the team faced off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game, which was held on Sunday, Nov. 15 at the Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida, was won by the home team.
On July 15 of last year, the Pro Bowl 2013 player was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. On top of his 10-game suspension, he was also sentenced to 18 months of probation. The charges and suspension were later dropped.
Despite all these, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has consistently been patient with the athlete. In many occasions did the 73-year-old billionaire come to Hardy's defense. However, his issue of repeated tardiness might put Hardy in a shaky standing with the team.
The report from Yahoo.com revealed that the league may tend to overlook "off-field problems" tied to its players, just as long as they perform on the field. But Hardy's case could be a different story.
"Being late shows that Hardy isn't dedicated to the team, a slap in the face for an organization that has stood by him throughout his many self-made storms in recent months," the site wrote.
