'Daredevil' Season 2 Premiere Date Latest: New Season Release Date Inadvertently Revealed

Although it is already a given fact that Marvel's hit superhero drama series, "Daredevil" will be returning to the small screens for its sophomore season, Netflix still has to announce the premiere date of the show.

Taking the hint that Season 1 debuted in the web streaming service on April 2015, a lot of fans assumed that Season 2 would follow suit and will be made available for online viewing on the same month this 2016. However, a recent report surfaced this week pointing out to what seems to be a much earlier roll out date.

A report from ComicBook.com said that the upcoming 2016 preview issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine is said to feature a huge amount of information on the new installment of "Daredevil."

The details indicated on one of the pages of the EW issue have marked March as the debut date for Season 2. The site further cited the media outlet revealing that production is still underway, but is now close to wrapping up, which makes the timing even more logical.

In hindsight, it would be safe to assume that EW might have obtained some sort of confirmation from a person connected with Marvel or Netflix to for them to publish a March return date for the Man Without Fear.

Regardless of when the show comes up in Netflix's list of TV shows this year, the excitement and anticipation are still ramping up. In fact, quite a few details on what to expect in the new chapter have already emerged.

Just before 2015 ended, Entertainment Weekly reported that fans will be greeted with an action scene right into the first episode of Season 2. The premiere will introduce right away the new player in town, Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher.

"The advantage of any sequel is you can dive right in," Petrie says. "We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f—ing could," new showrunner Doug Petrie revealed to EW.
