'Dark Matter' Season 2 News, Update: Showrunner Shares Details On Six's Integrity

Syfy's hit science fiction drama TV series "Dark Matter" has just finished its freshman season in August but fans are still hankering for more explanations on some of the plot points of the story.

One of which is Six's integrity. Although Roger R. Cross' character is now on the side of the Galactic Authority, this doesn't mean that the Raza amnesiac remembers or has any idea of what happened before he woke up.

This confirmation comes from the series creator himself, Joseph Mallozzi, who recently went over to his weblog. According to him, the lie detector result itself is a telltale sign that the character is clueless like the rest of the numerical crew.

"The fact that he passed the lie detector test in Episode 103 makes it pretty clear that SIX did NOT have his memory the whole time," Mallozzi explained.

"In fact, we can't be sure that his memories were ever recovered over the course of season one," he went on to say in the weblog.

Nonetheless, it can be safely assumed that Six is now aligned with the GA, a theory that many people now believe.

"Your theory that he's with the GA is a good one. One of the things that was a subtle clue was who he's flanked by in the corridor. That character is one you've seen before," Mallozzi said, this time during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

In the same article, the EP further gave hints on the nature of some of the characters. In the case of Two (Melissa O'Neil), she can be superior to humans in terms of abilities, but this doesn't mean to say that she's invulnerable. During the penultimate episode, it was even revealed that she'll age eventually, making her more human than an android, like the viewers assumed.

As for the second season renewal of the show, Mallozzi told THR that they're "still awaiting word."

"Dark Matter" aired its season finale Aug. 28.
