Demi Lovato Haircut: Star Reveals New Short Hair (PHOTO)

Demi Lovato has gotten a new haircut. The former Disney star recently posted a photo of herself and her new, shorter do on Twitter.

Demi Lovato debuted her new haircut on Tuesday. The haircut it just past Lovato's shoulders, which is significantly shorter than her normal, long locks. Cut in layers, the shortest layer appears to be at the singer's chin. Lovato's new haircut also includes a long, sideswept bang.

"New hair!" the "X-Factor" judge posted on Twitter with the picture of her new haircut. Just a few hours before, Lovato had posted a picture of herself going shopping pre-haircut.

Of course, Lovato has gone through a series of haircuts and dyes since first hitting the scene as a Disney star on "Sonny With A Chance." Lovato first began with dark brown hair, but she has also experimented with varying shades of blonde and even colored highlights. In the past, Lovato has stated that she likes to switch it up.

"I love changing my hair a lot- I think it's fun," Lovato said during a 2012 interview with Allure magazine.

The star also revealed that being able to try whatever haircut or dye you want is a sign in Hollywood that you have "made it."

"I used to always want to dye my hair blue and purple and pink when I was younger. But I was busy trying to make it in the industry as an actress, and it was hard to go in for auditions with blue hair," she told the magazine. "And so when I heard of the dip-dye trend, I loved it, and I felt like I could finally dye my hair blue. You know you've made it when you can dye your hair blue."

Fans appeared to approve of the new Demi Lovato haircut.

"Pretty," one fan gushed on Lovato's Instagram. "Gorgeous," another fan added.
