'Destiny 2' Bug Brings Down 'Trials Of The Nine' For Two Weeks
Sad news for "Destiny 2" players as a glitch has forced Bungie to cancel the next two instances of its weekly Crucible event, Trials of the Nine. This comes prior to the game release for the PC next week.
Trials of the Nine should be taking place this weekend at 1 p.m. ET on Fridays until the weekly reset at 5 a.m. ET, however, after "reported incidents of emoting glitching in the Crucible," the developer was forced to cancel the event as it looks to fix the issue. They have yet to reveal further information regarding the glitch.
Many are pointing to Bureaucratic Walk, a Monty Python-inspired animation as the emote in question and that players have been using to glitch through walls. This gives players a huge advantage which obviously poses a problem for an intense, high-stakes player-versus-player mode like Trials.

According to Bungie, their decision to cancel the event was to prevent "Destiny 2" players from exploiting the competitive mode in the meantime. The downtime will also allow them to test out possible fixes for the glitch.
For now, all players can do is wait until Bungie has found a fix for the issue. Still, it's definitely a bummer to miss a two weeks' worth of Trials of the Nine. Especially for PC players who get to experience the game for the first time.
When Trials returns on Nov. 3, it will also go live in the Windows PC version of Destiny 2, which launches next Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. PT worldwide. Bungie has revealed how it will roll out special activities for the PC version most notably being both the standard and Prestige versions of the Nightfall being available at launch.
The Leviathan raid will then kick off eight days later on Nov. with its Prestige version being released on Nov. 7. As for the console versions of the Leviathan raid, Bungie will roll out challenges by month's end.
"Destiny 2" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
