'Destiny 2' Release Date News: Game Won't Come Anytime This Year?
Following the issues that Bungie has been trying to resolve for the past few months regarding "Destiny," another cold-blooded bit of news is out for the already disappointed fans.
A lot of players have rooted earlier last year for "Destiny 2," and with the massive success of the franchise, it would be surprising if Bungie decides that the game shouldn't ever happen. However, new reports suggest that the developer isn't actually planning to release "2" this year.
According to Kotaku, one of the reasons why fans shouldn't expect "Destiny 2" to release this year is because of the lack of communication skills from the development team. This is largely true. Fans can remember that the last time fans received an update worth of honor and praise was September of last year for "The Taken King."

There were other updates that followed such as the Festival of the Lost and the Sparrow Racing League. However, the outlet notes that the content was "ephemeral and insubstantial compared with the best stuff Destiny has to offer."
This is once again true. It's either Bungie is falling behind with wild and awesome ideas or the team is just slowly falling apart. Aside from the shabby content after September's expansion, there has been very little or no update at all regarding "Destiny 2," despite the buzz around forums and gaming sites.
Unlike other developers that make time to give some details or drop hints on how development is progressing, Bungie is obviously in mute mode. The team's attitude isn't helping boost the interest of fans at all as a lot of players have already expressed dismay over the complete silence.
"Destiny" is one of the best franchises that has ever made it to consoles, but with fans unknowing of what to expect or what tomorrow may bring, the franchise should see a gradual fall not only in interest but possibly in sales figures as well.
"Destiny 2" is unlikely to come this year and probably not early next year.
