Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings Live Stream: Watch NFL 2014 Football Online (Fox TV Start Time, Preview)

The Detroit Lions will play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday as both teams look to put their problems behind them and claim the win today at the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The game will start at 1 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the Fox network or online through Direct TV's live stream (details below).

The Detroit Lions come into today's game on 3-2 where as the Vikings are oppositely below par on 2-3. The Vikings have home field advantage but they will need to put on a much better performance than we've seen from them through the first five weeks of the season if they are to defeat a strong Lions team.

The season got off to such a good start for the Vikings; they claimed a massive 34-6 win over the St Louis Rams. However, they were brought harshly back down to earth in Week 2 when they were on the receiving end of a whipping, losing to the New England Patriots 7-30.

They showed a bit more fight in Week 3, but ultimately came up short on the road against a good New Orleans Saints team, losing 9-20 to fall to 1-2.

Week 4 saw them secure a fantastic win over the Atlanta Falcons, piling on 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to win 41-28.

But their spotty form continued in Week 5 on Thursday Night Football, as they were unceremoniously taken apart by the Green Bay Packers in a 10-42 blow out loss.

The Detroit Lions meanwhile are 3-2, but will be kicking themselves that they are not at least on 4-1. Last week they looked in control against the Buffalo Bills and headed into the fourth quarter 14-6 up. However, they were unable to register even a single point in the entire second half of the game and that ultimately saw them fall short 14-17.

Today's game should be an intriguing one, but it could depend on which Vikings team turn up to play. The Lions will be favorites, but the Vikings could spring a surprise if they can use their home advantage to swing things their way.

Today's big game will start at 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through Direct TV's stream by clicking here.
