'Doctor Who's Peter Capaldi On Possible Final Year in Series
Loyal fans of the British science-fiction series "Doctor Who" will need to prepare for the coming days as changes in the show may take place. According to a report by Independent, Peter Capaldi may be saying goodbye to his role as the Doctor.
After the Christmas Special episode of "Doctor Who" aired, the main star admitted that this could be his final year in the role. He revealed this information during an interview with Telegraph wherein he narrated that he wants to do other things.
"This could be my final year. I love Doctor Who but it can be quite an insular world and I do want to do other things," Capaldi said.

E! Online detailed that Capaldi has actually signed on for the third season. But after that, he is still uncertain if he wants to keep playing the part. He also said that the moment he got the role, he already started thinking about the day that he will need to depart from the show.
"There will come a time when this is over. But I knew that when I started." He adds, "I was thinking about my regeneration scene from the outset. That's my terrible melancholic nature. When you accept the job you know there'll come a day, inevitably, when you'll be saying goodbye," shared the 57-year old actor.
Apparently, Capaldi isn't the only one who has had thoughts of exiting the time-travelling show. Jenna Coleman, who plays as Clara Oswald, made her departure from the show in the series 9 finale. As of now, the role has not been filled in yet and finding the right replacement is still in its very early stages. This also means that Coleman is the last and only companion to team up with Capaldi.
How many more episodes will Capaldi appear in the show then? Fans will have to wait and see. Series 10 of "Doctor Who" returns around late 2016.
