Dr. Dre Buys Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen's Mansion: Report

Dr. Dre purchased the multi-million dollar mansion custom designed and built by Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen, reports indicated this week.

After three years of construction, Brady and his wife moved into the 18,298-square-foot mansion complete with a moat last year. However, the power couple have sold the Brentwood, Calif. manse to Dre for a reported $40 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Beats Electronics founder's new home boasts a resort-style pool, solar panels, and most impressively, the moat. The water-filled ditch sits before the mansion's front door and is reportedly filled with koi fish. Furthermore, the four-acre property features a French chateau surrounded by gardens, a cobblestone motor court, a six-car garage, a custom play area, wine cellar, weight room, and an elevator.

Also inside the home are five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a library, a sauna, covered terraces and seven fireplaces, according to the LA Times. In October, Bundchen discussed she and Brady's home in a feature for Architectural Digest complete with several photos of the plushy pad.

"When we designed and built our home, it was extremely important to us to find ways to make it more eco-friendly," the Brazilian supermodel said, referring to the solar panels and other unique features of the mansion. "While many of the environmentally friendly minded aspects of our house began with its initial design, others are part of our daily routine."

Bundchen added that "90 percent of the materials used to construct our house were reclaimed" after completion of the home. The face of luxury brands such as David Yurman and Dolce & Gabbana also cited her affinity for the natural light, high ceilings and large windows that the house offers.

During the NFL season, Brady and Bundchen reside in Boston, Massachusetts, and the couple appears to be preparing to spend more time on the East Coast with the same of their mansion. Alternately, Dr. Dre is the founder and chief executive of Aftermath Entertainment as well as Beats Electronics, both of which Apple just recently announced it would pay $3 billion to acquire.
