Dylan O'Brien Injured on Set of 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure'
While filming on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure," actor Dylan O'Brien was reportedly injured. James Dashner, writer of the "Maze Runner" books, posted a tweet confirming the incident and that O'Brien had indeed been injured but was doing well.
"Not life threatening in any way." A follow-up post declared, "Production is postponed but certainly not cancelled. All that matters now is that Dylan recovers. We love you, Dylan!!!"
The actor, who also stars in the television series "Teen Wolf," was reported as seriously injured and said to have been rushed to the hospital. A spokesperson for Twentieth Century Fox had released a statement Friday that the actor had been injured while filming in Vancouver, Canada, and that he had been taken to the hospital directly.

The actor's publicist, Jennifer Allen was quoted saying, "He will be OK."
The actor was reported to have suffered from multiple broken bones from having been run over by a car while filming a stunt, but his condition is now said to be stable.
Film director Wes Ball posted a message on Twitter, "… He is one tough cookie. I'm sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew. It's scary seeing your friend get hurt, but fortunately, Dylan is going to be just fine. After a few weeks of rest and recovery he'll be back up and running to finish our adventure together. All the best."
A company that investigates workplace accidents in British Columbia, WorkSafe BC, is presently looking into the incident where the actor was said have been hit by a car while filming "Maze Runner: Death Cure." Their representative, Trish Knight Chernecki, has told EW that it had not been clear at first if the production had followed protocols for reporting workplace accidents, but lately confirmed the company is having ongoing talks with the studio and the show's producers.
O'Brien has starred in the preceding two movies of the series, "The Maze Runner" in 2014 and "Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" last year. In the latest installment, he reprises his role as Thomas who leads a group of young survivors, Munies, put into a series of survival tests by the WICKED. The Munies are thus called because they are immune to the Flare that afflicts most other people. The Flare affects the brain and turns those infected with it into zombie-like creatures. The film is set for release on Feb. 17, 2017.
