EA DICE Tweets Clip of New X-Wing Fighters in Upcoming 'Star Wars: Battlefront' (VIDEO)
Games developer EA DICE just tweeted a brief teaser of the new X-Wing Fighters for its upcoming "Star Wars: Battlefront" video game.
The third video game in the "Star Wars" franchise has revealed a new mode for X-Wing Fighters in a squadron gameplay teaser trailer Electronics Arts just released.
The soon-to-be-released action video game, developed by EA's Swedish subsidiary, EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment, features a new fighter squadron mode with aerial combat-focused X-Wing Fighters zooming through desolate canyons and laser firing at enemy flyers.

In the 12-second clip, a Rebel A-Wing engages in a dogfight with a TIE Fighter above the planet Sullust. A longer shot shows the A-Wing performing a barrel roll with the TIE interceptor closing in.
The teaser, which was released just before the game's more detailed reveal during EA's event at the 2015 GamesCom in Cologne, Germany on Wednesday, followed the developer's photo of a battle-scarred X-Wing fighter on the game's Facebook page, with the title, "Prepare for Take Off."
"Star Wars: Battlefront" can be played using a first-person or third-person perspective, with players being able to switch views from one to the other, whether they opt play as an Imperial Stormtrooper or a Rebel Alliance soldier.
Planets from the "Star Wars" universe feature prominently in the gameplay, including, Tatooine, Endor, Sullust, and Hoth.
Players can navigate through the world of "Battlefront" using land and air vehicles, customizing their own characters, abilities, weapons, and gear, and sharing new weapons with teammates as soon as they are unlocked.
"Star Wars: Battlefront" was created, not as a sequel to the previous "Star Wars" games, but as a reboot of the whole series.
It is due to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 17 in North America, Nov. 19 in Australia, and Nov. 20 in Europe.
