'Elder Scrolls Online' news: Vivox ties up with ZeniMax to add voice chat to game

Fans of "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" will surely be delighted with the addition of a voice chat feature to the game.

Vivox has tied up with ZeniMax Online Studios to add voice chat feature to "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited." With ZeniMax's Megaserver technology, gamers will now be able to connect to other players and be updated with what their friends are up to via the game's built-in social network, according to Worth Playing (WP).

"We are excited to incorporate voice chat into the console versions of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, enabling players to easily connect with one another," WP quotes game director Matt Firor. "For us, Vivox was the natural choice, given their multi-platform capabilities, gaming industry pedigree and reliability."

Vivox's voice chat allows PS4 and Xbox One players to communicate either via private or public channels, depending on their proximity to each other. Those with headsets will be able to chat with players in real time once they meet other players. The new feature serves to create an improved gaming experience for fans of "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited," the report relays.

Meanwhile, "The Elder Scrolls Online" still has a lot more in store for its players. New downloadable content has been made available to players. The expansion "Imperial City" is now available for both Xbox One and PS4, the Venture Capital Post reports.

The new DLC will include three classes that will take on a new enemy in the form of Prince Molag Bal. In "Imperial City," players can go through the challenges individually or as a group. Some of the features will include new quests and characters, too. Players can take advantage of the new lineup of dungeons, weapons, armor, and currency that come with the update.

Those who are willing to shell out $59.99 for the new DLC for "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" will be rewarded with pets, costumes, polymorphs, and mounts. No additional subscription fees are required for the "Imperial City" DLC, which is available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
