'Elementary' Season 4 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Sherlock Meets A New Love Interest; Watson To Clash With Stepfather
Looks like someone is getting some lovin' when the hit detective drama TV series from CBS, "Elementary" returns to the small screen for the second half of its Season 4.
According to the latest casting report from Entertainment Weekly, Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) will be getting a potential love interest in the person of Fiona Helbron.
The character, as detailed over at the media outlet, will be played by "Nurse Jackie" star Betty Gilpin. Fiona is a "brilliant and socially awkward software engineer." She meets Mr. Holmes and his trusty companion, Joan Watson (Lucy Liu), during a murder investigation.
The character in question is further described to be "neuro-atypical," and is close to be considered as a "high-functioning autistic." Besides these qualities, Fiona is not good when it comes to reading people. An uptight and strict follower of the rule, fans will find her to be a strong advocate for what is true.
Sherlock, on the other hand, finds it easy to bend the rule and spin a tale. Across the books, movies, and TV shows, the famous sleuth also happens to be portrayed as a person who got the knack to read other people's lives. He's awfully quite good at it that sometimes it can be irritating for some.
Despite the vast differences, Fiona and Sherlock will still be able to find a common ground to work with. According to the media outlet, both will realize that they are two "odd but gifted people navigating life on their own terms."
Fiona is slated to debut in Episode 9 called "Murder Ex Machina" which airs Jan. 21.
For the meantime, "Sherlock" Season 4B premieres this Thursday, Jan. 7 with the segment titled "Miss Taken."
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic, Watson will be at odds with her stepfather when she discovered that he's written, without her consent, a crime novel based on her work with Holmes. Meanwhile, the duo will find a deeper issue surrounding the death of a retired FBI agent.
Stay tuned for more updates.
