Fall TV Premiere Dates 2017 This Week: 'The Real Housewives Of New Jersey,' 'Van Helsing,' 'Inhumans'

Looking for something new to watch this week? A slew of TV premieres have already kicked off for this month but viewers can still catch a few big ones before the week is out.

For starters, season 8 of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" is set to premiere this Wednesday, Oct. 4 with all new drama between the girls. Among the biggest developments this season is the return of Danielle Staub, the inspiration for Teresa Giudice's infamous table flip in the first season.

Staub isn't back to sow chaos though, as she appears to be making an effort to be friends with the girls. The honor of being the new "villain" this season goes to Kim DePaola, at least as far as the premiere is concerned. DePaola is the proprietor of Posche and Allendale boutique and has been involved in several plot lines and schemes over the years.

Not interested in girl drama? Not to worry, the second season of SyFy's dark fantasy series "Van Helsing" is set to premiere this Thursday, Oct. 5 with Vanessa (Kelly Overton) and the other survivors go deep into the world of the vampire apocalypse.

The new season will see her discover that old alliances have crumbled following the apocalypse. She also realizes that new connections expose buried secrets about the Rising, the Van Helsing heritage, and the survival of humankind.

Finally, there's Marvel's "Inhumans" which is set to premiere on its new timeslot this Friday, Oct. 6. Despite the generally unfavorable reviews of the series' IMAX premiere, ABC decided to soldier on.

While most fans might have been put off by the IMAX premiere, it might still be too early to be in consensus with the crowd. It should be interesting to see if the network has a few tricks up its sleeve to salvage the series on its TV premiere.
