'Fallout 4' DLC News, Update: New Maps, Expanded Mission, Underwater Combat To Be Expected?
Fallout is touted by many as one of the best open-world games of all time. "Fallout 4," Bethesda's latest installment to the hit post-apocalyptic gaming franchise, is expected to receive DLC packages that will further immerse the player into the desolate world of the Wastelands.
While the fans are still waiting for the studio's official announcement, there have been countless speculations that have surfaced lately pointing to the DLC's possible rollout date as well as its contents.
According to MoviePilot.com, players who bought the $30.00 Season Pass will be getting the new updates for free. Outside of the package, the add-ons are expected to cost "at least $40.00."

Talking about the release date, the media outlet indicated that the DLC will likely start to arrive "sometime in early 2016" and will continue throughout the year. Based on the number of DLCs from the previous installments of Fallout, it appears that the latest chapter will get a total of five.
As for what it might contain, the website said that providing continuation to the already lengthy main storyline would be the best route that the studio can take. In connection to this, the DLC should bring in new maps found both inside and outside of Boston. This could further introduce a host of new characters and items that can make the game even more interesting.
But the most resonant theories surrounding the upcoming "Fallout 4" DLC include an outer space and underwater adventures.
WhatCulture.com pointed out the prevalent backstory of Fallout's mythology where it mentioned a conflict between the American astronauts and an "unknown force" in the moon. Avid followers of this mythos would know this incident to have taken place in an area called Mare Tranquilitatus or "Sea of Tranquility."
VG247.com also mentioned last year something about the discovery of a harpoon gun with the game code. It took the internet by storm and the public was quick to deduce that Bethesda might offer some underwater adventures.
