'Fallout 4' Patch 1.3 Released, Comes With Image Quality Improvements

"Fallout 4" fans can now get the brand new patch of the game as it has already been released. According to Hard OCP, version 1.3.47 is now out for the PC platform and it has brought along with it several updates that promises to further improve the game and do lots of important fixes. The patch will also be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 but there is no specific date yet on when it might come out.

As for the changes, PC Gamer detailed that the update Bethesda created included a new ambient occlusion setting (HBAO+) technology that offers better image quality compared to the existing in-game SSAO quality option. There's also the new weapon debris effects (PC NVIDIA cards) system which is founded on NVIDIA's Flex debris effects for particle destruction.

Aside from that, the patch also released some minor additions like a status menu for settlers and the ability to rotate objects as the gamer's wastelander holds them. The "ESDF" remapping support in Workshop mode was also improved.

The Patch 1.3 also made some fixes to the gameplay, quests and workshop mode. It gives stability and general memory improvements as well as improving the performance while looking through a scope. A bug that was noticed allowed the player to "warp to a different location when aiming." That bug has also been fixed. Also, with this patch, no longer will companions get stuck with radiation poisoning. Furthermore, an issue that was making the crops look destroyed after saving and reloading has been fixed. Certain settlements attacks that do not correctly generate has been fixed as well.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, the "Fallout 4" 1.3 patch appears small and it's because it is sized at only 94 MB. Last year, Bethesda rolled out a bigger patch 1.2 for PC and console. There's also no clue yet on how big or small the patch will be for the consoles. But it's best to do some hard drive cleanup to accommodate the upcoming patch.
