'Fallout 4' Update: Cheat Identified In Dogmeat Duplication Glitch, Patch Adds New Features

Action role-playing video game "Fallout 4" now comes with new changes brought about by Patch 1.3. But more than the bug fixes and new features, the update also brought a cheat by way of a Dogmeat duplication glitch. As detailed in iDigitalTimes, YouTuber user Hey Im Starlord shared how the new "Fallout 4" cheat works through a video tutorial.

The video showed the Dogmeat item duplication glitch and enumerated the simple steps on how to duplicate items. As instructed, the glitch can be accessed by dropping an item on the floor. Afterwards, the player must tell Dogmeat to go pick it up. Once Dogmeat bends to pick it up, the player must press the "Take" button several times as quickly as possible. If the player is successful, Dogmeat will duplicate the item while the original will be placed in the inventory.

The source also noted that through the Dogmeat duplication bug, players are able to cheat a little in the game. They are also able to create a virtually unlimited supply of anything in the player's inventory including weapons, ammo and settlement resources like copper and glass. Selling of the duped items is also permissible to get caps.

The update also added a new ambient occlusion setting, new weapon debris effects, and a status menu for settlers, as noted in PC Gamer. Fixes for some of the major problems have been addressed as well. Neurogadget noted that some of the problems reported by players include the bug that teleports players to a different location and when they were disjointed, they continued to move. Settlement attacks issues are also fixed now, as well as powered items that stopped working when the power source was taken away.

There's a lot to expect for "Fallout 4" in the coming days. One example, as cited in Express UK, is that Bethesda Game Studios is adding in new scenarios such as food, sleep, diseases, danger and a lot more.
