'Fargo' Season 3 Premiere Date Scheduled In 2017, Time Setting Of New Episode To Jump To 2010
American black comedy-crime drama anthology "Fargo" is set to return to the small screen for its third season. However, fans of the show will need to wait a little longer to catch all new episodes. According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Noah Hawley doesn't think the series will be ready before 2017.
He then revealed, during a conference call with press on Tuesday, that "Fargo" season 3 will premiere in the spring of 2017.
"The reality is you won't see it in 2016," Hawley said, according to a Variety report. "It's a winter show for better or worse. There is not time to shoot another year before this winter is over."

He also said that production for the third installment will most likely commence in November 2016. According to Variety, Hawley said that most of the third season is written before filming starts. He and the other producers were focused on making sure that the writing process was done separate from production. Aside from that, they also want to take their time. At the moment, they are in the writing process.
Aside from the premiere date of "Fargo" season 3, Hawley also detailed a few spoilers. He said that the show will be having a time jump. From the first season's time setting of 2006, season 3 will take place in the year 2010. It's also confirmed to have a more contemporary feel.
As for the characters, Hawley revealed that fans may see an intersection of the current characters with the past characters from the previous season. He teased that some of them will be crossing paths. However, he mentioned that the show's season 1 cast will likely not have major parts in the third season. Hawley thinks that it simply would not be believable for the characters to go through a lot of eccentric scenarios. It will also ruin how each season ended.
