'Finding Dory' News, Update: Disney-Pixar Unveils New Promo Posters
A slew of theatrical posters for Disney-Pixar's highly anticipated underwater sea adventure animated movie "Finding Dory" was finally unveiled and it featured some of the fan-favorite characters that fans have long known for in 2003's original title, "Finding Nemo."
Courtesy of ComingSoon.net, one of the promo photos show the reunion of friends Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres), Marlin (by Albert Brooks), and Nemo (by Hayden Rolence, previously by Alexander Gould).
Another poster shows Dory being surrounded by sea creatures. Her expression tells that of a fish who looks like she doesn't know what is going on. She's pretty lost but fans know too well that her friends won't leave her on her own. A short tagline in the teaser image reads:
"An unforgettable journey she probably won't remember."
Three new marine characters are also joining the fray. These newcomers will reportedly amp up the excitement in the story. One of them will be voiced by Michael Sheen. Its name is yet to be revealed. The other two, meanwhile will be Baily and Destiny. The former will be essayed by "Modern Family" star Ty Burrell while the latter by "It's Always Funny In Philadelphia" actress Kaitlin Olson.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last year, Burrell teased that his character "isn't great at his own sonar capability" while Olson's "has trouble swimming."
The beluga whale (Bailey) and the whale shark (Destiny) are said to play an important role in helping Dory reunite with her family. But first, the two will have to get along well with each other first.
"We totally get on each other's nerves," Olson told EW. "I like to think I'm a shark, but Bailey calls me a whale, and I make fun of his head, because it's gigantic."
The movie will also feature the acts of "Beasts of No Nation" star Idris Alba and "The Affair" actor Dominic West.
"Finding Dory" hits the theaters June 17, 2016.
