'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Spoilers: Rhaegar Targaryen To Make An Appearance Next Season?
With "Game of Thrones" season 8 still very far away, fans are basically scraping the bottom of the barrel to find more clues about what is going to happen in 2018. Sometimes however, it's the actors themselves that give them ideas like Tom Wlaschiha's weird but fascinating theory about the Last Dragon, Rhaegar Targaryen.
Fans caught a glimpse of Rhaegar last season courtesy of Bran's powers as the Three-Eyed Raven. However, there is a chance, albeit a tiny one, that the platinum-haired prince makes another appearance next season. How? Well according to Wlaschiha as well as some creative minds on the Internet, Jaquen H'Gar is Rhaegar.
"If you change the order of the letters of Jaquen H'Gar leaves Rhaegar," said the actor. "And people began to try to justify that Jaquen was Rhaegar with photos, long hair, his grace."
While this might seem ridiculously far-fetched, it has a few things going for it. For one, the two characters have a striking resemblance as they both have long, wavy hair and a dashing appearance. What's more, the character now has significance given that the show revealed him to be the father of Jon Snow.
Could Rhaegar actually make an appearance in "Game of Thrones" season 8? Very unlikely given that there isn't much to be gained from doing such as stunt, not to mention the fact the show will likely utilize every resource they have to the final confrontation between the forces the living and the dead.
Rhaegar, or rather actor Wilf Scolding did get into a shot with the Night King although the location was definitely not the Wall. The 27-year-old actor recently had lunch with Vladimir Furdik, who has played the Night King since season 6 after which the two posed for a selfie. This is probably the closest fans will get to seeing both actors together, even though it would be definitely be amazing to see Jon and his father fighting the Night King next season.
"Game of Thrones" season 8 is set to premiere next year only on HBO.
