'Gears Of War 4' New Maps and Halloween Event
"Gears Of War 4" has launched its own Halloween event this week with plenty of themed events and cosmetics for players. The game also revealed a variety of new maps as well as updates in preparation for the release of the Xbox One X.
The Coalition recently announced the details of their October update along with a new video showcasing everything new coming this month. These include Halloween festivities, a new map, and finally Xbox One X support. The update also brings optimizations to storage space for the game, which will result in overall file size reduction for the game.
The "Gears Of War 4" Halloween event is currently live and features new characters, new weapon skins, and special events. During this time, players can take part in festive events and earn Halloween-inspired goodies.

The spooky festivities will then be followed by a month-long celebration of the 11th anniversary of "Gears of War" this November. So far, no details have been released by the game's publishers but players can look forward to a variety of special events in the near future.
Two new maps were also included in the update namely Fuel Depot and Lift Apex. The former is a returning map from previous iterations of the game while the latter, while inspired by existing maps, is a whole new experience both for old and current players.
Fuel Depot is a sprawling map with ample opportunities to flank enemies. Its wide open spaces also increase tension for players navigating them while avoiding Longshot sniper fire.
Lift Apex, on the other hand, is a re-work of a previous map which featured a moving lift. This time, it features timed shutters that can be closed by players in the Control Room providing players a window of protection from ranged attacks.
Both maps are now available for Season Pass owners with Double XP and 20 percent bonus Credits. The map will be available for regular players by Oct. 30.
"Gears Of War 4" is currently available for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
