George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Wedding in Italy This September? Couple Wants 'Privacy'
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are reportedly hoping to wed in a private ceremony in Italy this fall.

The couple, who got engaged in April, are reportedly eyeing Venice as a potential wedding destination, however, privacy concerns are delaying wedding plans. Clooney, 53, is said to have decided against holding the wedding at his Lake Como estate this September because the highly anticipated event would likely inconvenience the locals and neighbors, the New York Post reported.

"George and Amal want to be married in Italy, but they need a location that offers them and their guests privacy," a source told Page Six.
The Hollywood actor and producer and the prominent human rights lawyer, 36, were reportedly spotted in Venice last month and critics suspect they may have toured potential wedding venues.
The couple dined at Da Ivo late restaurant last month and feasted on sautéed shellfish, smoked tuna, mussel soup, crayfish and artichoke risotto and charcoal-grilled sea bass and washed the meal down with with Prosecco and white wine.
While the couple have not publicly revealed a wedding date, insiders claim they plan on tying the knot on September 20, 2014. The couple celebrated their engagement with friends in Malibu last month.
"They've told family and friends they will only disclose the location at the last minute, and it will be very private," an insider told Radar Online.
"Neither George nor Amal want the wedding to be a public affair — and her family really doesn't either," the source went on.
The couple first stepped out together publicly during an outing in London in October last year, three months after Clooney's split from former pro-wrestler Stacy Keibler. They have since enjoyed a number of globe-trotting jaunts including a trip to Tanzania and New York City.
Clooney, a successful Hollywood star, is passionate about humanitarian work and he has been at the forefront of advocacy for resolving the war in Darfur. Alamuddin, who was born in Beirut and raised in England, also has a philanthropic background.
The Lebanese-born human rights lawyer is currently representing Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and is an adviser to Kofi Annan, the special envoy to Syria.
