'Ghostbusters' Movie in 2016: New York City Once Again Haunted - Watch the 2nd Trailer, Release Date is July 15 [VIDEO]

The only reason why the second "Ghostbusters" trailer is positive is because the first one was simply too awful, or at least that is what millions of YouTube users thought when it first came out in March. This time though (2016), there seems to be traces of chemistry among the all-female lead characters for this expensive reboot of the 1984 blockbuster supernatural comedy film.

You can watch the new trailer below before we talk about what to expect from this reboot:

The Guardian reports that there are some incredible new CGI ghost beasties previewed, while everything looks to be a definite upgrade of what excited moviegoers saw in the first trailer. In this second offering, there is a bit more exposure for Chris Hemsworth's character, Kevin, as well as the filthy and gunge-colored ghost named Slimer from the original film.

The new film will be featuring Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon as four women from different walks of life who happen to have the same knack for combating ghosts. Abby Yates (McCarthy) and Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) are two down on luck authors who insist that ghosts are real in their book. But when ghosts invade New York, the two had to work together with Jillian Holtzmann (McKinnon), who happens to be a nuclear engineer, and Patty Tolan (Jones), a subway worker, to defeat the ghosts led by the demon Rowan, played by Neil Casey.

The first trailer of the film made history by becoming the most disliked video in YouTube, ever. Although no one's going to admit it, the poor reviews may be because of the intriguing casting, where all four characters in the lead role are women. So far, the second trailer still is getting more negative than positive feedbacks, but it's a lot better than the kind of reaction to the first one.

The Ghostbusters reboot opens in theaters on July 15 in the U.S.
