'Ghostbusters' Movie News: Today's Al Roker Gets Slimed on Set
It's getting ever so slimy on the set of "Ghostbusters" as TODAY's Al Roker recently shared his experience with the new ghost-busting stars and how his set visit ended up with him getting slime all over his face and body.
The TV personality dropped by the reboot's set to check on the ladies who are this generation's new ghostbusters. Leslie Jones, who stars alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon, proudly told Roker, "Women, we're doing everything. Why wouldn't we be able to bust ghosts?"
Aside from chatting with the new all-women group, Roker was also able to get a try at the famed proton packs used to bust ghosts lurking in town. In a GIF image released by the NBC show, he is seen struggling but still happy as he reaches for the protogon gun hanging at his back.

The weatherman's set visit ended with a blast as he received a good spray of light-green slime all over his face and body. With a smile, he said after receiving the slime, "That's nasty."
Meanwhile, fans around social media are somehow giving a thumbs up to Paul Feig's revival of the movie as some people were able to get a glimpse of the cameo appearance by Dan Aykroyd.
According to Screen Rant, the cameo appearance was featured during this week's CinemaCon and Aykroyd's promised special gave fans of the original film some nostalgic moments.
The original ghostbusters compose of Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Bill Murray. While it has been confirmed that most of the original cast will appear in the film including Murray, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver, it is said that Rick Moranis won't be part of the movie.
As for the reviews, there is an apparent division among moviegoers who saw the original and those looking forward to the reboot. According to Blasting News, the first trailer has obtained over 60 million views but comments vary widely as many mentioned the issue on racism while some focused on the revival's loyalty to the original film.
