'Gilmore Girls' Revival Cast News, Spoilers: Lauren Graham's Other TV Daughter to Appear in Reboot

Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore), who is known for her TV mother-daughter relationships, will be joined by both of her small screen daughters in the upcoming Netflix reboot of cult favorite series "Gilmore Girls."

Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore), her daughter in the series, is part of the reboot's main cast while Mae Whitman, who played Amber Holt, her daughter for six seasons on NBC's "Parenthood," will be joining the revival event in a brief cameo.

According to TVLine, which broke the news, Whitman will appear in a "really fun (albeit small) moment" with Graham that will reportedly delight fans of their now-defunct drama series. Apart from this, no further details about her cameo have been announced.

The 27-year-old actress is known for her roles in "Parenthood" and "Arrested Development" and for starring in the films "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" (2010) and "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" (2012).

The self-proclaimed "Gilmore Girls" fan has frequently professed her love for the show on her social media accounts. When the revival event was announced, the actress posted an old and heavily altered cast photo with the caption "So excited 2 Finally announce RETURN of my bff @thelaurengraham 's show GIRLMORE GIRLS With this official cast pic!"

Apart from Graham and Bledel, main cast members Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Liza Weil, Yanic Truesdale, Liz Torres, and Sean Gunn have been confirmed to return for the reboot. All three of Rory's ex-boyfriends from the series: Dean (Jared Padalecki), Logan (Matt Czuchry), and Jess (MIlo Ventimiglia) are also set to join the cast.

The Netflix reboot of the beloved comedy-drama series is set in the present day and picks up roughly eight years after the events in the "Gilmore Girls" season 7 finale. It will consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies, each representing a different season of a calendar year. Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino are writing the script and directing the limited event.

According to TVLine, the revival is tentatively titled "Gilmore Girls: Seasons." Production is underway in Los Angeles.
