Gionee P5W Smartphone Listed on Global Website, Specs Include 5-Inch Display, 5MP Rear Camera, 1 GB of RAM
The number of smartphones to choose from is growing by day. Expensive or cheap, high-end or low-end, there's a particular device for everyone out there. Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Gionee is one of the many companies that is continuously bringing in a device for the public. Their latest model is the Gionee P5W.
According to a report by PC-Tablet, the company's latest smartphone has already been listed on its global website. And as noted, it's a dual-SIM device with a 5-inch HD IPS Oncell display with 720x1280 screen resolution.
NDTV Gadgets detailed that it is equipped with a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6735 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also carries with it 16 MB of internal storage. This can further be expanded through a microSD card. The device is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 153 grams.

As for its camera, the device sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. In the meantime, its front will have a 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. With a polycarbonate body, this particular model of Gionee's allows customers to choose from the five colors available which are white, black, blue, red and yellow.
Ecumenical News noted that the Gionee P5W runs with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system topped with the Immersive IU, which, the report says, "will give each colorful cover its matching interface." It will carry the basic connectivity options like the Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G and will be powered with a 2000 mAh battery. It will also come with a proximity sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer.
Moreover, the handset will have with it some interesting features like the 3D DTS surround sound technology which is designed to give users an audio-visual feast. It is also said to have a Face Unlock feature that gives users a unique way to unlock their device.
Although the Gionee P5W is already listed in the global website, it's not indicated yet how much it will cost and when it will be specifically available.
