'Girl Meets World' Season 3 News: Familiar Face Joins the Cast
A familiar face will soon be joining the cast of the hit Disney Channel series, "Girl Meets World."
It was reported that former "Family Matters" star, Reginal VelJohnson, will be taking on a role in the upcoming season of "Girl Meets World." The nineties star will be taking on the role of a police officer once again. Those familiar with the show "Family Matters" are aware that VelJohnson had portrayed a police officer named Winslow for nine seasons of the series.
Teasers were released, showing Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard, and Maya, played by Sabrina Carpenter, alongside VelJohnshon. From the photos, fans speculate that the two girls will be getting into some trouble. This is expected since the two will be seen heading to high school in Season 3 of "Girl Meets World."

While there has yet to be any details regarding what the two will be in trouble for, Carpenter was able to share some details about her character. According to TV Insider, she explained that Maya will be scared about leaving middle school. She said, "Maya is a lot like me in the way that she doesn't want to grow up. She's so mature and very wise, [so] you'd think she'd be ready to fly out of the nest, but she's actually quite content where she is. She knows that all of her friends are incredible right now. She's very lucky to have the people that she has in her life, and she's scared of losing them."
Meanwhile, the news of VelJohnson's presence had fans wondering if a fan favorite character from "Boy Meets World" will also be seen in the upcoming episode. Steve Urkel was often seen bothering Winslow in the original series. However, reports confirmed that Urkel will not be seen in the upcoming episodes of "Girl Meets World."
