Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers POLL for Game 3: Team 'Architecture' is Talk of 2016 NBA Finals – Preview and TV Schedule
The NBA Finals Game 3 should be a turning point for the Cleveland Cavaliers now that the Golden State Warriors are leading the NBA Finals series 2-0.
The Cavs are hoping that the hometown advantage will work in their favor on Wednesday night at the Q Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland said on their official website that they will be coming home to the venue where they have shone during the playoffs.
LeBron James' team said that they have a 7-0 winning streak at their home court with an average of 20.9 points. They are also positive that they will play well in terms of defense during Game 3, where they are aiming to have more turnovers.
"Cleveland is a perfect 12-0 when scoring 100 points or more this postseason," Cleveland said on their website.
However, the Warriors are also very much determined to keep their lead and win a back-to-back NBA championship. Warriors' shooting guard Klay Thompson told SFGate that they have been improving in terms of offense.
Defense is as equally important, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr added. The Warriors have tried to maintain their numbers and scoring for the entire season when compared with stats from the Cavs.
Warriors star and NBA MVP Stephen Curry mentioned in the SFGate report that his team is trying to play smart during the finals series while utilizing the talents and skills of all their players. He added that they will try to make good use of their speed, length and IQ for their defense strategy.
Indeed, the Cavs have some hard work to do coming into the Game 3 of the Finals, with the New York Times saying that they have embarrassed themselves for the past two games.
James has taken the blame for the shortcomings the team had for allowing Golden State to take a 110-77 win for Game 2. "It's just who I am, and I've got to be better," he explained to reporters after Sunday's game.
Team Architecture Seems to be Key
The New York Times said the finals series has higlighted the great difference between the two teams. The Warriors were able to use all their players who can contribute for the team while the Cavs were unable to do the same and also delivered a poor defense.
