'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Spoilers, Plot News: Meredith Tries To Recover From Attack, Expected To Start Dating Again
The most awaited episode 9 of "Grey's Anatomy" season 12B has finally premiered. The episode featured the brutal attack of Ellen Pompeo's character, Meredith, by a patient named Lou. She was seriously hurt and was even brought in for surgery to survive. Fortunately, she did, but her near-death experience has caused her more than just bruises and wounds. According to rumors, Meredith will be recovering from the attack.
The promo trailer released for episode 10 also showed that she will be going through therapy to help her cope with the trauma of what she went through. But it wouldn't be much of a help as she will be denying some emotions, including anger, that the therapist noted. The trailer also showed Meredith telling Maggie (Kelly McCreary) and Callie (Sara Ramirez) to get out of her house after asking what they can do to help her.
But viewers of the show can expect the Grey Sloan surgeon to try something again in her life and it's dating. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Pompeo revealed that her character will be exploring dating again after the death of her soulmate Derek who was played by Patrick Dempsey.

"Everyone else thinks it's time for Meredith to move on and start dating again," stated Pompeo. "We're moving toward Meredith dating again, so everyone has to get ready for it. I can tell you that I've shot a few scenes, although I don't know where they're going to go, but I have shot a few scenes, and I'm very happy and excited with the way this is unfolding," she added.
Meanwhile, everyone else's lives continue on. According to a report by Christian Today, Maggie and Callie will be performing a "risky" and "experimental" surgery on a 15-year old patient. Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Nathan (Martin Henderson) will also continue to be at each other's throats. "Grey's Anatomy" season 12B episode 10 will air on Feb. 18 on ABC.
