'Grimm' Season 5 Spoilers: Black Claw Launches Attack

NBC's popular supernatural drama "Grimm" is on hiatus this week, but will return next month with bigger threats and a city in peril.

According to the synopsis for the March 4 episode of "Grimm," Nick (David Giuntoli) and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) will be heading off to the Black Forest after coming in possession of artifacts that may help them solve a major mystery. The duo will then travel overseas to attempt to solve the puzzle.

"The farther they get from home, the closer they get to evil," the promo clip for the next episode hints. At their destination, Nick and Monroe will have to face some new threats, including a priest who transforms into a demon and a half-human half-bird creature.

With the two gone, Black Claw will launch a major attack on Portland. Although fans will have to wait another week to find out what the group's "deadly move" entails, it's sure to send the city into chaos.

In an interview with TV Guide, actress Claire Coffee revealed that her "Grimm" character, Adalind, will be joining the fight against Black Claw. "She gets swept into the war in a very serious way, soon," the actress said. "It's going to affect Adalind's storyline and the family throughout the rest of the season."

The war will occur as Adalind once again feels the need to search for her daughter, Diana. "She didn't really get a chance to mother Dianna so now seeing that she can be a good mother to Kelly, just reignites that passion and trying to find Diana," Coffee explained. "My hope for Adalind is to get Diana back. [Having] one big happy family is probably too ambitious of a thing for this show but we can hope."

"Grimm" season 5 episode 11, titled "Key Move," airs next Friday, March 4, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
