GTA V for PS4 and Xbox One Still Experiencing Connectivity Issues A Week After Release

"Grand Theft Auto V" for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One has only seen action for a week and players are already taking to the support forums to express their discontent over connectivity problems. Since the launch for the next-gen consoles, users have been reporting problems regarding access to multiplayer features.

Rockstar had tried to resolve the issue by launching update 1.03. The update was to improve connection stability as well as other minor fixes but fans are still reporting the issues on the support forums. Such problems include difficulty in joining missions as well as maintaining connection to multiplayer.

As such, users have commented on their disappointment in joining a game. "One week after launch and I've yet to see a lobby, let alone join a game," one user wrote.

"As a software developer myself, I appreciate the complexities – but you need to up your game Rockstar, this is twice now…" another complained.

Apparently, joining a game has been near impossible as one many others have been saying similar sentiments over the forums. In the meantime, Rockstar has offered advice on how to get online and what common issues can be solved from the user's end.

Also, Rockstar had already warned players about the impending inevitability of connection issues before the launch.

"We have, of course, tested the game extensively but there is no way our several hundred testers can be quite as comprehensive as millions of players! Please bear with us should any issues arise – we will be working hard to fix any problems that arise, and generally ensure this launch is as smooth as possible," an official statement said.
