GTA V PC Release Date in March/April 2014? Xbox One, PS4 Version Coming? (GTA V Cheats Video)

The popular Grand Theft Auto V PC version is set to be released in the first quarter of 2014, according to multiple reports.

The game, which is available for the current Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles, will likely be available for PC users early next year, according to industry sources that are pointing to the 2014 Q1 timeframe.

The timing of the PC version of GTA V is reminiscent to that of when the GTA 4 was released – back in April 29, 2008. The PC version was released seven months later, on December 2, 2008.

Grand Theft Auto V was released on September 17, 2013. That means that if Rockstar follows the timeline of the GTA 4, they will launch the PC version by March-April 2014.

Intel executive Chris R. Silva hinted this week that the PC version may be coming very soon. "At least with Grand Theft Auto I don't think it'll be console exclusive very long," he said.

Silva also told PC Gamer that Rockstar was paid to keep the game exclusive to consoles at the time of its launch last month. "But that's what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content…Somebody paid a lot of money to make sure that title was exclusive," he said.

Followin the launch of GTA V, a beta reference code was discovered in a PS3 XML file.

Since the game was announced, when Rockstar Games failed to mention Windows among the launch platforms, speculation about the PC release has been widespread.

GTA IV was hugely popular on the PC, and that has led many to assume that the GTA V PC port would be coming soon. However, Rockstar has remained silent on any such release, leaving fans in the dark.

Despite the deafening silence coming from the game-makers, new proof of the upcoming GTA V PC release has been revealed recently via the XML files from the PlayStation 3 version of Rockstar Games' latest hit. The news has led to thousands of GTA fans posting online about their excitement of the seemingly impending release.

The new proof of the GTA V PC post came from Pastebin, and it reignited speculation that at least one other version would also soon be coming for Grand Theft Auto V.

Despite the new evidence, some analysts are pointing out that such information in no way guarantees that makers will even release a PC version at all, and games are prepared for launch but then canceled all the time. Although most are fairly confident that Rockstar will push out the game on as many formats as possible due to its extreme popularity and almost guaranteed success.

Grand Theft Auto 5, the most successful gaming release in history, has smashed all records after being released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, as yet there are still no announcements about when the game will be available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but with the new Xbox and PS4 set to become available in the coming months it is also likely that a GTA V version will land sometime next year to satisfy demand in those areas.
