'Guardians Of The Galaxy 2' News, Update: Lead Star Chris Pratt Seen On Set, Reveals Excitement On Returning As Starlord

James Gunn's "Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2" has reportedly already begun the earliest stages of its production and just like the fans, lead star Chris Pratt can't contain his excitement on returning to the set and playing his well-loved Marvel role, Starlord.

In his latest Instagram post, the 36-year-old reveals that he's already back in action, preparing to shoot GoTG V2. The photo he shared further gave hints that the sequel will once again feature the iconic Sony Walkman which he used back in the original movie.

Along with the post is his rather enthusiastic statement describing what he felt being on set.

"I'm ecstatic. I'm bursting with joy. I'm overwhelmed by feelings of enthusiasm, joy, gratitude, conviviality, camaraderie, elation, exhilaration," the "Parks and Recreation" star said.

Pratt continued to talk about learning new words. Towards the end of his lengthy caption, the father of one shared a teaser about the upcoming film:

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all time. This is not.... bear with me... using online thesaurus..... Hyperbole! This is not hyperbole!"

As a lot of people may have guessed, Pratt isn't the only one returning on set to don their respective superhero suits. Director Gunn also went over to his social media to update the fans.

In his Facebook post earlier this week, he shared an image of him with the rest of the cast including Zoe Saldana, who plays the role of Gamora; Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer; and his own brother, Sean Gunn who provided stand-in works for characters like Rocket Raccoon and Thanos.

Missing in the lineup are Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel who do the voice acts for Rocket and Groot. Gunn revealed, in the comments of his post, that the pair won't be hitting the recording studio "until much, much later."

The helmer went on to reveal that "Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2" will begin shooting this Feb. 11 and will be released in theaters on May 5, 2017.

Stay tuned for more updates.
