'Heroes Reborn' Spoilers: Heroes Unite To Save The World In Series Finale

Despite what a lot of fans have hoped for, NBC's hit supernatural drama TV series "Heroes Reborn" will finally close its 13-episode run this week with an episode that will see the heroes uniting in their efforts to save the world from destruction.

In the penultimate episode, Tommy (Robbie Kay) was captured and locked in the "Evernow" video game by Erica (Rya Kihlstedt). Both Tommy and Malina (Danika Yarosh) are needed to carry out the plan to save Earth from the Human Extinction Level Event (H.E.L.E.). The task of retrieving Tommy from the virtual world now falls on Emily (Gatlin Green) and Ren (Toru Uchikado).

According to the spoilers shared over at Hollywood Hills for the episode titled "Project Reborn," Tommy will be dealing with "his biggest challenge yet" in a world that he can't teleport out of.

However, Emily and Ren will be following the hero closely. It also appears that they are brewing up some plans to get him out of that place. This might include searching for Miko or the Katana Girl (Kiki Sukezane), who is the only person who can travel in or out of the video game with ease. It would seem likely that the latter would help Tommy beat the game where Otomo had put him in the first place.

In another development, Malina will carry on with her own part of the mission with Zachary Levi's Luke. Together with Quentin (Henry Zebrowski), the trio will see to it that the girl fulfills her destiny for humanity. But the Tommy situation is still something that they should be dealing with, too.

Carlos (Ryan Guzman), on his part, was last found rushing Farah (Nazneen Contractor) to the hospital after the latter saved Malina's life. It is yet to be revealed if Farah will survive the ordeal or not but the spoiler said that Carlos will be faced with a decision that's "life and death."

Don't miss the "Heroes Reborn" finale airing this Thursday, Jan. 21, on NBC.
