It was reported that the executive producer of the hit series, Pete Nowalk, recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about what the characters of the series will be up to in the episodes to come.
The midseason premiere of "How to Get Away With Murder" season 2 gave fans a sneak peek into Annalise's, played by Viola Davis, past. It revealed a surprising fact about Annalise, which was her past pregnancy.

With that, Nowalk shared some interesting details about how the rest of the season will fare for Annalise. He revealed that her past will play a big role in the upcoming episodes. He said, "Obviously we don't know a lot about her past, but we're going to be flashing back to 10 years ago and revealing a big part of her past. So we'll see Sam again. We'll see other characters from our show from 10 years ago. I don't want to say who."
He went on to explain that the series will focus on the theme of running away from the past. Nowalk stated that Annalise will have to deal with some aspects of her past that she did not let heal properly.
In addition, he revealed some details about Annalise's connection with Wes' mother. With that, fans will get a chance to meet the new characters. Nowalk revealed, "We'll meet Wes' mother, because that's the murder mystery we're trying to solve. We will see Wes' mother, and Christophe and Wes' mother together. Her name is Rose (Kelsey Scott)."
