HP Elite X3 Release Date: Windows 10 Mobile Rumored to Come With 5.8-Inch Display, 20MP Camera
California-based tech company HP is rumored to be releasing a Windows-based device dubbed as the Elite X3. According to a report by Phone Arena, the device is the same smartphone that was rumored in 2015, which is the HP Falcon. But serial tipster and reputable source Evan Blass revealed that the HP Falcon will be released as the Elite X3 instead.
And if the rumors are true, the Elite X3 will be the newest in the company's line of Windows mobiles. The last one was their Windows Mobile 6.5-powered iPAQ Glisten which was released in 2009. As for the specs of the device, GSM Arena detailed that the alleged handset will be running with the Windows 10 Mobile operating system. It will have a 5.8-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.
The specs are also said to be the same ones that was spotted in a GFXBench listing back in December 2015. The source revealed that the Elite X3 will be running with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 820 SoC. It will be paired with 1 GB of RAM and will have an internal memory storage space of 64 GB. A 20-megapixel rear camera is also expected. The front may have either a 12-megapixel or 13-megapixel camera.

Blass also noted that aside from the name change, the device appears "pretty smart -- except, maybe, for the odd pattern of speaker grille holes." Nonetheless, it's predicted that the device will have an elegant exterior. But since nothing is confirmed yet from the company, it's best to take these reports with a pinch of salt.
Those who are looking forward to the new device can take a peek though at the shock-resistant 2-in-1 Windows HP Elite X2 which is already selling. It may have the same physical features as the Elite X3 smartphone.
As for the release date, the mobile device is expected to be revealed during the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016.
